Diesel or Hybrid Limo Fleet..

If you are looking at your fleet of limousines and wondering whether you should succumb to the pressure from governments, the community and what your conscience is telling you and convert your limousines to hybrids, then it is all about the type of limo hire company you are.

It depends on the type of passengers you have and whether they are the kind which are likely to shop around for the most environmentally friendly limousine (or the one they perceive to be the most friendly) or whether they actually just want a nice ride and since they are getting their car off the road, they can afford to splurge on yours.

Of course you also need to work out what type of passengers you have because this will tell you the type of driving your limousines predominantly do and whether a hybrid or a diesel limousine fleet is the better option. You are likely to find that a mix of both is probably what you need, however, if your passengers are primarily corporate customers who use your limousines for business meetings in the city and out of town commutes to work, then you need to look at using hybrid limousines for these sorts of runs.

When a hybrid limousine is stopped and idling in traffic, it uses no fuel, zero. Even when driving at low speeds around 35 mph and on flat roads, the hybrid limousines will run on electric power and only need their gasoline assisted engine components to kick in under acceleration.

Once you are driving a hybrid limousine on the highways and at high speeds, they are actually less fuel efficient than a diesel limousine of the same size. So if you do a lot of limousine hire for country weddings, or you service a large area of the countryside, diesel limousines are probably best for your limo hire company.
